01

Record the current and planned IT load, rack density, physical constraints and maintenance windows. Agree responsibility across IT, facilities and specialist suppliers.

  • Capacity baseline: Equipment schedule, rack elevations, growth assumptions and resilience objectives.
  • Delivery boundaries: Document who designs, supplies, installs, tests and accepts each interface.
02

Review the agreed power architecture, UPS capacity, distribution and rack PDUs. Identify shared dependencies before describing any path as redundant.

  • Evidence to request: Load schedule, labelled circuits, monitoring points and agreed test records.
  • Safe commissioning: Qualified specialists execute isolation and transfer tests under an approved procedure.
03

Review airflow and cooling against rack density and room constraints. Coordinate containment, blanking, cable routes, fibre links and access for maintenance.

  • Physical readiness: Rack layout, clearances, pathways, access and agreed environmental monitoring.
  • Performance evidence: Record environmental conditions under the agreed test load and cabling test results.
04

Combine subsystem results into an agreed commissioning plan. Verify monitoring and escalation, then hand over an operating pack that the customer can actually use.

  • Acceptance pack: Asset register, as-built documents, test results, backups and maintenance information.
  • Scope-based assurance: Availability targets and acceptance criteria must be specified; no tier certification is implied.

BrightGate focuses on installation against approved drawings and coordination with appointed design and specialist teams. This checklist does not imply facility certification, operation or maintenance.
