Site Execution & Handover
SERVICE ENGINEERING GUIDE
Make completion visible and verifiable. We coordinate site work, inspections, defects and documentation into a handover process that connects each installed system or area to its acceptance evidence and responsible owner.
What we deliver in practice
Site planning & coordination
Translate the agreed programme into workable look-ahead activities and interfaces. Track access, material readiness and permits; escalate constraints before they block dependent work fronts.
Look-ahead plan and constraint/action register.
Inspection & progress evidence
Track completion by area or system using inspection status and agreed progress measures. Keep photographic and test evidence linked to the relevant work package and drawing revision.
Progress records and indexed inspection evidence.
Snagging & closeout
Record defects with location, responsible trade, target date and closure evidence. Verify corrections with the receiving party and separate acceptance conditions from deferred or disputed items.
Snag register and witnessed closure records.
Asset & document handover
Compile as-builts, equipment schedules, approved test records and operation/maintenance manuals available within scope. Index documents by system and arrange agreed familiarisation sessions for the receiving team.
Structured handover dossier and acceptance tracker.
The technology, explained
ITP / hold point
An inspection and test plan defines checks and evidence. A hold point requires the designated approval before the next activity proceeds.
Snag / defect register
Tracks an incomplete or nonconforming item with its location, owner and closure evidence. A status change alone is not proof of correction.
As-built records
Drawings and schedules updated to reflect the actual installation. They should reconcile asset labels, routes, approved changes and test records.
Reference architectures & design practices
Illustrative patterns for project discussions. Final topology, sizing, products and acceptance criteria are developed against your requirements. These are BrightGate concept diagrams, not vendor-certified designs.

Physical completion, test completion and document completion are tracked separately and reconciled at handover. Acceptance records identify unresolved items and ownership. Specialist commissioning and statutory approvals remain with the appointed responsible parties.
Design practices to apply
- Use one identifier across assets, tests and manuals.
- Verify snag closure instead of relying on a status label.
- Agree the handover index early in the project.
Systems, products & official references
Examples to evaluate during scoping. Selection, supported features, hardware and licences depend on the agreed solution; a product mention does not imply a certification or an included purchase.
Digital inspection & snag registers
Track location, responsibility, photographs and closure evidence.
BIM / drawing issue coordination
Use model-linked issues where the project information environment supports them.
Official reference Autodesk model coordination referenceAsset registers & handover dossiers
Structured records connect installed assets to test reports and maintenance information.
A result your team can accept
Acceptance evidence
Completeness
Reconcile installed assets and areas against the agreed scope.
Evidence
Sample each system through inspections, tests, drawings and manuals.
Acceptance
Record owner sign-off and ownership of any agreed remaining actions.
